What's the Difference Between a Tag and a Playlist?

Last Updated: Mar 26, 2018 03:41PM EDT
Great Question!

Both Tags and Playlists are used to collect and categorize questions in eClicker Presenter.

Playlist:
A playlist is a group of questions that you wish to keep grouped together.  Sometimes, you’ll see other users refer to playlists as quizzes.

Most users create Playlists to group questions into a quiz.  For example, you might create a playlist called “Wednesday Algebra I.” Then, you’d add questions to the playlist, and “play” the entire playlist as a quiz on Wednesday.

Tag:
A tag is a label you apply to a question (or to many questions).  You might have multiple tags on any given question.

Tags are used to categorize questions.  You might use all of these tags on a question included in your Wednesday Algebra I playlist:
  • variables
  • functions
  • linear
  • difficult

You can add tags and playlists to a question when you create a question or edit an existing question.
